The Frontier Labs started in Berlin in 2024, out of a simple observation: plenty of people were talking about AI, and far fewer were taking it from a nice demo to a system that runs every day without breaking. That gap is the whole reason this studio exists.
We work in a narrow set of areas: RAG pipelines, agents, fine-tuned models, and the infrastructure to run them properly. For each project we pick the tool the problem actually calls for, which sometimes means a fine-tuned LLM and sometimes means something much simpler.
Every capability on this site maps to a shipped system you can use yourself. And if your project needs something we don't do, we'll say so and point you to someone who does it well.

We try a lot of things quietly and throw most of them away. What you receive is the version that worked. Nothing gets built from a template, because your problem deserves its own architecture.

We're a small studio and we don't pretend otherwise. What that means in practice: no layers between you and the people doing the work, and no account manager translating your requirements into language the engineers actually speak.

No account managers and no handoffs. The person answering your email is the person designing the system and writing the code.

We cap how much we take on. Your project is known in detail by everyone working on it, because they're in it every day.
We push back when it matters
If part of your plan won't work, you'll hear it from us before we build it. It's much cheaper for you to hear it now than after it ships.
